Alessandrini Diana

Art historian, journalist and expert of architecture, works at the Giornale Radio RAI (the main Italian news radio) since 1998, where she conducted  various programs as well as main editions of the morning news GR1, GR2 and now GR3. She published essays on architecture and participate, as chairperson or speaker, at several conferences on the subject. She is the author of the following titles: Giochi del mondo (Games world), L'Airone Editrice 1998;Dizionario di archeologia (Dictionary of Archaeology), L'Airone Editrice 1999; Roma. Il futuro è in cantiere (Rome. The future is the future is being built, Edilazio 2005; EccentriCittà. Gli agglomerati urbani del terzo millennio (EccentriCittà. Storica dell’arte, studiosa di architettura e giornalista, lavora al Giornale Radio RAI dal 1998, dove ha condotto oltre a diverse trasmissioni anche le edizioni principali del GR1, GR2 del Mattino e ora del GR3. Ha pubblicato alcuni saggi dedicati all’architettura e partecipare in qualità di moderatore o relatore a diversi convegni sul tema. De Guttry Irene

In 1987 she founded the Italian Archives of Applied Arts of the twentieth Century with Maria Paola Maino, a research and documentation centre with a specialized library, which is open to scholars. She has organized exhibitions in Italy and abroad and numerous publications on the early  1900s.

Fonda nel 1987 con Maria Paola Maino gli Archivi delle Arti Applicate Italiane del XX secolo, centro di documentazione e ricerca con annessa biblioteca specializzata, aperto agli studiosi. Alle arti decorative italiane del primo ‘900 ha dedicato mostre in Italia e all’estero e numerose pubblicazioni.

Fochessati Matteo

Curator of the Wolfsoniana-Fondazione regionale per la cultura e lo Spettacolo di Genova. Since 2004 he teaches theory and history of design at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Genoa. Since 1997 he is a correspondent of "Il Giornale dell'Arte". Author of the book La voce del mondo. L'immagine della radio in Italia tra le due guerre (1992), as a critic and art historian he has published numerous research papers on contemporary figurative and artistic phenomena of the twentieth century, in particular on the history of the Futurist movement. He was curator of exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including recently the exhibition at the Estorick Collection in London, “In astratto. Abstraction in Italy 1930-1980”. In the field of the decorative and applied arts of the twentieth century he has recently published the book “L’art nouveau tra modernismo e nazionalismo romantico”(24ore cultura, 2012).

Conservatore della Wolfsoniana-Fondazione regionale per la cultura e lo Spettacolo di Genova, ricopre dal 2004 l’incarico di professore a contratto per l’insegnamento di Teoria e storia del design presso la Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università di Genova. Dal 1997 è corrispondente de "Il Giornale dell'Arte". Autore del volume La voce del mondo. L'immagine della radio in Italia tra le due guerre (1992), in qualità di critico e storico dell'arte ha pubblicato numerosi saggi sulle ricerche figurative contemporanee e sui fenomeni artistici del Novecento, in particolare sulla storia del movimento futurista. È stato curatore di mostre in Italia e all’estero, tra le quali recentemente l’esposizione all’Estorick Collection di Londra In astratto. Abstraction in Italy 1930-1980. Nell’ambito degli studi sulle arti decorative e applicate del XX secolo ha recentemente pubblicato il volume L’art nouveau tra modernismo e nazionalismo romantico (24ore cultura, 2012).

Fondevila Mariàngels

(Berga 1964) is curator in the department of Modern Art at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, Barcelona.  PhD in Art History from University of Barcelona (art déco in Catalonia), she specializes in decorative arts and author of many exhibition catalogues, monographs, and essays on art déco and modernista decorative arts. She has curated: Els Masriera (section of jewelry of Lluís Masriera, ACCA Award for Art Critic ), MNAC,1996; Gaspar Homar. Moblista i dissenyador del modernisme, MNAC/Fundació “la Caixa”, 1998;  Jujol dissenyador, MNAC/Fundació “la Caixa”, 2002; Myrurgia 1916-1936. Bellesa i Glamour, MNAC, 2004; Joies d’artista. Gašparović Miroslav

Director of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Zagreb, Art historian, art critic, curator of the painting collection of the Museum of Arts and Crafts. Author of numerous exhibitions of Croatian and international artists and articles on the various topics from old masters, specifically Venetian and Dutch painting of 16th and 17th century to contemporary artistic practice. Lead, or was one of the major contributors to, the several major exhibition projects “Art Noveau in Croatia”, “Belle Epoque Imperiale”, “Hidden treasures of Museum of Arts and Crafts - 125th Anniversary”, “Art Deco and Croatian art between two wars” etc. First president of the Museum directors association of Croatia, member of ICOM; AICA, and various national and international boards.

Direttore del Museum of Arts and Crafts di Zagabria, storico e critico d'arte, curatore della collezione di dipinti del Museum of Arts and Crafts.

Curatore di numerose mostre di artisti croati e internazionali e autore di articoli su diversi temi, dai grandi maestri classici, in particolare i pittori veneziani e fiamminghi del XVI e XVII Secolo, ai contemporanei. 

Ha curato, o è stato uno dei contributori principali, dei diversi progetti espositivi “Art Noveau in Croazia”, “Belle Epoque Imperiale”, “Tesori nascosti del Museo delle Arti e dei Mestieri - 125 ° Anniversario”, “Art Deco e l'arte croata, tra due guerre” ecc. Primo presidente dell'Associazione dei Musei della Croazia, membro dell'ICOM, AICA, e di vari comitati nazionali e internazionali.

Gutbrod Philipp

Born in 1971 in Rochester, NY. Studied art history, classical archaeology, and jurisprudence in Heidelberg and Munich. PhD in Heidelberg with a dissertation on the artist Wols (Catalogue Raisonné), funded by a Postgraduate Scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. 2003–2004: Research position for “French Art in Postwar Germany / German Modernism in France after 1945” at the German Center for the History of Art in Paris, and teaching at the Freie Universität in Berlin. 2005–2011: Managing director of the New York office of Villa Grisebach Auctions and Lecturer at museums in North America. Since July 2011: Curator and Collection Manager at the Institut Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt. Gutbrod has published numerous essays on art of the 20th century with a focus on parallels between art and music. He has curated numerous exhibitions, among others: “IT’S ALL ADVERTISING! Poster Art of the Darmstadt Artists’ Colony” (2012) and "Ankabuta’s Web" (2012).

Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca con una tesi sull`artista Wols (Catalogue Raissone'),finanziato con una borsa di studio post laurea dalla Fondazione Accademia Nazionale Tedesca.
2003-2004: Ricercatore per "Arte francese nel dopo-guerra in Germania e Modernismo tedesco in Francia dopo il 1945“ presso il Centro tedesco per la Storia dell`Arte a Parigi; insegna presso la Freje Universitat di Berlino.
2005-2011: Managing director dell`Ufficio di New York della Casa d`aste  Villa Grisebach  e docente nei musei del Nord America.
Da luglio 2011: è curatore e collection manager dell'istituto Mathildenhohe di Darmstadt.
Ha pubblicato numerosi saggi sull'arte del xx secolo, con un' attenzione particolare sui parallellismi tra arte e musica.

Keilholz Caroline

He worked several years in industry at various companies. Since August 2012 she has been working at Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH as European Sales Coordinator. In this position she is coordinating the 3D scanning activities of the company Steinbichler in the Partage Plus project, preparing the visits with the project partners. She is informing the partners about the requirements of the technicians to be able to scan in the defined process. She is monitoring the amount of 3D scans done, including numbers of post-processed scans and scans made available for download. Based on this information, future missions are adapted.

Ha lavorato diversi anni per diverse aziende. Dall'agosto 2012 ha lavorato presso la Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH come European Sales Coordinator. In questa posizione coordina le attività di scansione 3D effettuate dalla società Steinbichler nel progetto Partage Plus. Prepara le visite con i partner del progetto. Informa i partner circa i requisiti dei tecnici da individuare per le scansioni. Effettua il monitoraggio delle quantità delle scansioni 3D, il numero di scansioni elaborate e quelle rese disponibili per il download. Sulla base di queste informazioni, vengono progettate le missioni future.

 

Kilner Josefin

(b. 1979) has a Master’s Degree of Arts in Art History and Master’s Degree of Arts in International Museum Studies. Since 2006 she has been a curator at the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, Sweden. She also lectures at the Gothenburg University.

Kopszak Piotr

Curator in the Polish Art Collection of the National Museum in Warsaw in 1991-2010. He specializes in Polish 19th Century painting, specifically the oeuvre of Olga Boznańska.  Piotr Kopszak curated numerous exhibitions devoted to  Polish painting c. 1900 (lastly the  Symbolism in Poland and Britain at the Tate Britain in 2009 with Alison Smith and Andrzej Szczerski),  wrote  his Ph.D. dissertation on art criticism of Teodor de Wyzewa and published several popular books on Polish artists (Wojciech Gerson, Jan Stanisławski, Teodor Axentowicz and Olga Boznańska). Presently he is in charge of online publication of collection at the National Museum in Warsaw.

Curatore della Collezione d'Arte polacca del Museo Nazionale di Varsavia nel periodo 1991-2010. Si è specializzato in pittura polacca del XIX Secolo, in particolare l'opera di Olga Boznańska. Piotr Kopszak ha curato numerose mostre dedicate alla pittura polacca del 1900 (da ultimo il Simbolismo in Polonia e la Gran Bretagna alla Tate Britain nel 2009 con Alison Smith e Andrzej Szczerski), con una dissertazione del dottorato di ricerca sulla critica d'arte di Teodor de Wyzewa e ha pubblicato diversi libri di successo su artisti polacchi (Wojciech Gerson, Jan Stanislawski, Teodor Axentowicz e Olga Boznańska). Lourenço Andreia Vale

Head of the Division of Museums, Library, Cultural Promotion and Tourism of the Municipality of Aveiro. This Division includes the direction of the Aveiro City Museum. She has a degree in History, by the University of Porto, a master degree in Tourism and Culture, by the University of Minho. She has also a post-graduation in public services management. She is currently taking her doctorate in Coimbra University.

Responsabile della Divisione Musei, Biblioteche, Promozione culturale e Turismo della Municipalità di Aveiro, la quale include anche la direzione del Museo civico. Laureata in storia all'Università di Porto, specializzata in Turismo e cultura all'Università di Minho, post laurea in gestione dei servizi pubblici. Attuamente, sta curando il dottorato presso l'Università di Coimbra.

Maino Maria Paola

Expert in Italian decorative arts since 1973, she promotes and organizes numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, editing publications on the subject.In 1987 - with Irene de Guttry - she founded the Italian Archives of Applied Arts of the twentieth century, a research and documentation centre with a specialized library, which is open to scholars, currently within the Museo Boncompagni in Rome, one of the so-called Case museo of the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna.

Esperta di arti decorative italiane, dal 1973 promuove e allestisce numerose mostre in Italia e all’estero curando pubblicazioni sull’argomento.Nel 1987 fonda con Irene de Guttry gli Archivi delle Arti Applicate Italiane del XX secolo centro di documentazione e ricerca con annessa biblioteca specializzata, aperto agli studiosi ora ospite nel Museo Boncompagni di Roma, una delle Case museo della Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna.

Malinen Ismo

MA in Finnish and Nordic History (Helsinki University, 1997). Curator at the Maritime Museum of Finland 1999-2009, curator at the National Museum of Finland 2009 -. Curator of numerous exhibitions at both museums, most recently the “Suomi Finland 1900 –“, a new permanent exhibition on 20 century Finland and Finns.

Master in Storia finlandese e nordica (Università di Helsinki, 1997). Curatore al Museo Marittimo della Finlandia nel periodo 1999-2009, curatore presso il Museo Nazionale di Finlandia nel 2009. McKenna Gordon

Gordon McKenna has worked in the cultural heritage sector for over 30 years in a series of challenging and rewarding posts. His first degree was in Archaeological Sciences. After graduation he took part in excavations, and carried out research projects to source pottery and to analyse wall painting pigments using nuclear physics techniques. He also has worked extensively in museums: moving stores, documenting a wide range objects, carrying out conservation work; and creating exhibitions. Just before joining the Collections Trust in 1991 he obtained a Masters in Information Technology, with a dissertation looking at the use of project management software during large hardware relocation operation by British Aerospace. Since joining the Collections Trust he has authored standards and guides such as SPECTRUM Interactive, SPECTRUM Knowledge, Standards in Action - SPECTRUM IT Guide and Documentation: a practical guide. He has advised organisations, particularly on collections management systems and other IT-related issues. He has worked in partnership with organisations and consortia like CIDOC, ICOM-UK, FISH, EMII and CIMI to benefit the sector both in terms of standards and the creation of practical tools. He has lectured and given presentations on the Collections Trust's work throughout the world. He was also the editor of Collections Trust's SPECTRUM standard - the vademecum of collections management. At the moment he is Collections Trust’s International Development Manage, with accountabilities for all the EC projects that they are participating in. In particular the Trust is the coordinating three projects: ENUMERATE (collecting statistic on cultural heritage statistics); Partage Plus (digitising and enabling art nouveau in Europeana); and Europeana Inside (helping cultural institutions and aggregators overcome barriers to participation in Europeana).

Gordon McKenna ha lavorato nel settore dei beni culturali da più di 30 anni con una serie di incarichi stimolanti e gratificanti. La sua prima laurea è stata in Scienze Archeologiche. Nigro Covre Jolanda

Professor of Contemporary Art History at the University of Rome. She has been a scholar of Argan, and has been mainly involved with theoretical aspects of the visual arts and architecture (Worringer, Semper, theory of Einfühlung, Schmarsow, Novembergruppe, German art in the twentieth century) and themes of early avant-gardes (Cubism, Marc, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Malevich). Among her recent publications: “Astrattismo. Temi e forme dell’astrazione nelle avanguardie europee”, Milano 2002; “Arte contemporanea - Le Avanguardie storiche”, Roma 2008 and (with Ida Mitrano) “Tra astrattismo e realismo: 1918-1956”. She is currently preparing a text for Carocci editions on the arts between the late twentieth and early twenty-first century.

Ordinario di Storia dell’arte contemporanea all’Università di Roma. Allieva di Argan, si è occupata di aspetti teorici nelle arti figurative e nell’architettura (Worringer, Semper, la teoria dell’Einf

Smith Katie

Prior to joining the Collections Trust, Katie Smith worked in libraries and studied an Undergraduate Degree in English and History. After graduating she worked at various museums in the UK working in the field of Collections Management.

In 2010 she obtained a Masters Degree in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, UK, upon leaving she managed various projects at the Collections Trust such as Find a Library and the JISC funded Contextual Wrappers2.  In March 2012 she started working as European Project Officer for the Collections Trust and is responsible for the coordination, communication, administration and reporting of the Partage Plus (digitising and enabling art nouveau in Europeana) and ENUMERATE (collecting statistic on cultural heritage statistics) projects.

Prima di entrare a far parte di Collections Trust, Katie Smith ha lavorato presso diverse biblioteche e ha conseguito una laurea in inglese e storia. Dopo la laurea ha lavorato presso vari musei nel Regno Unito, operando nel campo della gestione delle collezioni.

Nel 2010 ha conseguito un Master in Museologia presso l'Università di Leicester, Regno Unito, successivamente ha gestito diversi progetti presso Collections Trust come Find a Library e Contextual Wrappers2 finanziato da JISC. Nel marzo 2012 ha iniziato a lavorare come responsabile dei progetti europei per Collections Trust ed è responsabile del coordinamento, comunicazione, amministrazione e rendicontazione di Partage Plus (digitalizzazione e sviluppo dell'art nouveau in Europeana) e ENUMERATE (raccolta di statistiche sul patrimonio culturale).

 

Vastenhoud Chris

He studied museology, specialized in and computer based registration methods for large collections and the logistics involved. He was involved in the development of the first image databases in the Netherlands using laservision technology, later to be followed by the first databases using digital imaging and storage. Since then he has been involved in projects which follow the evolution of digital technology, both in the commercial and cultural sector, with a strong focus on digitisation, visualisation, and exchange.

Ha studiato museologia e si è specializzato in metodi di registrazione computerizzati e logistica per collezioni di grandi dimensioni. Si è occupato dello sviluppo dei primi database con tecnologia LaserVision nei Paesi Bassi, seguiti dalle prime banche dati che utilizzavano il digital imaging  e l'archiviazione digitale. Da allora è stato coinvolto in progetti che seguono l'evoluzione della tecnologia digitale, sia nel settore commerciale che in quello culturale, con particolare attenzione per la digitalizzazione, la visualizzazione e lo scambio.

Vodeb Vlasta

Researcher and holds Ba. A. in Sociology of Culture, Ba. A. in Philosophy. Her research experience and interest is in the scientific and empirical studies in disability studies, integrating cultural assents in spatial planning, gender mainstreaming, public participation, GIS based spatial analyses of urban environment.  She participated in numerous national and international projects. Several She published several articles, books, and research reports on the topics.

Head of Collections at Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA) and responsible for the permanent art collections, as well conservation, collections management, technical services.

He has a specialist interest in 20th Century Art and has been at the Sainsbury Centre since 2006. He has recently curated solo exhibitions concerning Bill Viola, Thomas Houseago and portrait photography of John Hedgecoe.

Responsabile delle collezioni del Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA) e responsabile delle collezioni permanenti, della conservazione, gestione delle collezioni, servizi tecnici.

E’ specializzato in arte del XX secolo e fa parte del Sainsbury Centre dal 2006. Recentemente ha curato mostre personali di Bill Viola, Thomas Houseago e sui ritratti fotografici di John Hedgecoe.

Zakrajšek Franc J.

a senior researcher and consultant in modeling of culture and cultural heritage, urban planning systems and land use planning.  His work focuses on innovative approaches, methods and techniques. He is also an expert in areas of information systems, digital cultural content, geographic information systems, portals, web services, registering movable and immovable cultural heritage and building the national and cross-national interoperability frameworks. He was a member of Member’s states expert group on digitalization and digital preservation established by the European Commission. He coordinated the preparation of the strategy and action plan for e-culture and digitalization of digital cultural content concerns libraries, museums, archives, audiovisual and other cultural institutions in Slovenia. Recent experiences concern public participating and urban simulation models - 3Dcity modeling.

Ricercatore e consulente per la modellazione del patrimonio culturale e la cultura, i sistemi di pianificazione urbana e territoriale. Il suo lavoro si concentra su approcci, metodi e tecniche innovativi. Egli è anche un esperto in materia di sistemi informatici, contenuti culturali digitali, sistemi di informazione geografica, portali, servizi web, registrazione di patrimoni culturali mobili e immobili e la costruzione di infrastrutture di interoperabilità nazionali e transnazionali. Ha fatto parte del gruppo di esperti degli Stati membri sulla digitalizzazione e la conservazione digitale istituito dalla Commissione Europea. Ha coordinato la preparazione della strategia e del piano d'azione per l'e-cultura e la digitalizzazione delle biblioteche digitali culturali relativamente ai musei, agli archivi audiovisivi e altre istituzioni culturali in Slovenia. Le sue recenti esperienze riguardano la partecipazione pubblica e i modelli di simulazione urbana - 3Dcity modeling.

 Zsombor Jékely

PhD in Art History (Yale University, 2003), dissertation on the medieval frescoes at the Augustinian church of Siklós in Hungary.

2001-2006: Old Sculpture Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. Curator of the exhibition Verrocchio’s Christ (2003). Co-curator of the exhibition Sigismundus – Rex et Imperator. Art and Culture at the age of Sigismund of Luxemburg, 1387-1437 (Budapest-Luxemburg, 2006).

Since 2006: Head of exhibition department at the Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest; since 2010 Director of Collections. Project manager and co-curator of the exhibition The Dowry of Beatrice, dedicated to Italian majolica in the court of King Matthias (2008), as well as numerous other exhibitions.

Author of articles on wall-painting in medieval Hungary; co-author of books on medieval wall-painting in Transylvania (2008) and North-Eastern Hungary (2009).

Recipient of a Mellon Research Fellowship at Villa I Tatti, Florence (Jan-March 2010).

Dottorato di ricerca in Storia dell'Arte (Yale University, 2003), tesi di laurea sugli affreschi medievali nella chiesa agostiniana di Siklós in Ungheria.
